    Who Am I?

I was born a happy bald baby in Los Angeles, California in 1973, but spent my formative years (with hair) in a seaside town called Alameda just across the Bay from San Francisco. Eventually, I journeyed east to do my undergraduate coursework at New York University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the School of Journalism. I went on to write and report for such national magazines as Rolling Stone, New York, Harper's Bazaar, Premiere and Entertainment Weekly.

However realizing I said things better with images than with words I went on to pursue a life-long passion for photography and earned my Masters degree for the International Center for Photography and NYU.

I have since won a scholarship to attend the School for Photographic Study in Prague where I also exhibited my work. In addition, I have shown my photographs at the Washington Square East Galleries and my clients include Andersen Consulting and Viking/Penguin Publishing. I have also worked with such prestigious photographers as Antonin Kractchovil and Andrew French.

In all of my work, I'm setting out to photograph the way people live. Through a documentary/narrative approach I explore my subjects' relationship to themselves and the spaces they inhabit. I use photographic images to illustrate the subjects' sense of self. I wait for a break in form -- the moment just before the mask is replaced.

As a wedding photographer, I blend the storytelling skills of a photojournalist with an artist's eye for beautiful images. My objective is to capture the spirit of the wedding -- the moments that you'll want to look back on in 25 years and remember how wonderful that special day was.
